  • From The Scottish Sun:

"Northern Ireland Under-21 cap Lavery has linked up with Shiels' (Kilmarnock) side recently but can't train as the club examine whether they'd have to fork out compensation first.

"The 19-year-old snubbed a pro contract with the Tractor Boys after his academy scholarship ran out at the end of last season. Since then the one-time Spurs target has had failed trials at Leicester and Sunderland and saw a move to Bradford collapsed.

"But as Ipswich offered him a deal it's likely Killie would have to stump up cash for the Canadian-born kid."

  • Deal is not yet done but from a Bantam's fan on Bradford City's official message board: "Talked to the lad today (Sun Dec 11) outside the ground, said he should be signing over the weekend bar any moving of goalposts."

  • Has now signed for Bradford City

  • On trial at Leicester City, scored for City. Lavery helped a Leicester side to retain the Westerby Cup Winners' Cup by beating local non-league side Quorn on penalties on 8 Nov 2011

  • Has turned down a pro contract and looks set to leave the club with his scholarship deal expiring this month. Town would be entitled to compensation if Lavery signs up with another club, with Spurs and others said to be interested.

  • Caolan is a very dedicated player. I dated his oldest sister for four years and refereed many of his games.

I wish him all the best in the future!

  • Will be joining the Academy as a full-time scholar. Capped at U-17 level by Canada, Lavery also qualifies to play for the Northern Ireland and the Republic. U-17 caps won in the following games: 31/3/2009 vs Costa Rica U-18, 2/13/2008 vs Chivas Youth, 26/11/2008 vs Atotonilco Youth (scored) and 24/11/2008 vs Tecos Youth
