  • Retired as a player in January 2014, becoming co-manager at Kilwinning Rangers in the Scottish Junior Football Association, in February 2014.

  • Released by Morton in June 2012, Stewart joined Al-Khor Sports Club, Qatar, as their goalkeeping coach in August 2012.

He returned to Scotland during February 2013, playing three trial matches for Stranraer before signing for Cowdenbeath until the end of the 2012-13 season.

He then signed a one-year deal with Airdrieonians on June 8th, 2013. On August 27th, 2013, an altercation between Stewart and an Airdrieonians fan after a League Cup defeat to Livingston saw Stewart depart the club 2 days later.

  • Represented Scotland at U-17 level at least once during the 1996-97 season. If you have details of these caps we would like to hear from you.

Colin's family background, is very much football orientated.

His Missus, is Julie Fleeting of Arsenal Ladies and Scotland fame and his Dad Jimmy, has won International honours as a goalie and also is the current Scotland National team goalkeeping coach, aswell as holding the same position at Rangers FC.

He has 2 younger Brothers, Ross, who has played with Benburb and Cumnock Juniors in the West of Scotland Junior Leagues and Fraser, who the last I heard, was at Ayr United.
