I knew Gerard "Nasher" Nash when i was young. Unfortunatly i had 2 move when he was 13. I was only 10 when i left Leixlip in Kildare, and never really apreciated his talents. The only thing i wanted was to be on his team when we used to play our games of football in the "Corn Field"! I knew he had an accident when i left in 1999. He fell down the stairs apparently and damaged his face and legs. Obviously it didn`t effect his promising playing career. i`m glad 2 say i know him. Whether he remembers me or not, it doesn`t really matter. By the way, when he becomes famous i`m prepared to sell all i know about him to the Sun!!! only joking Nasher...u`ll have to pay 4 my silence! GOOD LUCK WITH IPSWICH!

  • Capped by the Republic of Ireland at U-17 level, Nash played junior football for Belvedere FC who are based in North Dublin. Former Belvedere old boys also include Middlesboro's Curtis Fleming and Mark Kennedy of Wolves.
