Is that the same PGL soccer school I was at??? I remember getting the autograph of Murray and he said he would get his brother to send me a signed photo, which he did (although he put down to mark, instead of mike). However I was a defender as a kid and as well as being a big fan of Russell I also remember playing with his style in stopping Giles getting past me. If you remember Gi, I was the one who brought you down when you were through on goal. no need to cry about it though.

In recent years we've had another of your ex-players as manager down here in the shape of Russel Osman who actually played a few matches for us as well. Excellent player, but as a manager, oh dear.....
Giles Goford Monday 02-12-2002
Russell was my favourite player when I was a kid, although I wasn't a defender. I think he was the most under-rated member of the great early 80's side (along with Cooper). I've had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times since, and indeed playing a match alongside him in defence for the ITV Sport Channel. He was the classiest player in the match that also involved Ray Houghton, Garry Nelson, John Hendrie, Daley Thompson and Robbie Earle. Also, his brother Murray was a coach at PGL soccer schools in the mid 1980's.
Russell Osman joined Ipswich Town in July 1975 as an Apprentice.
He signed a Professional Contract with Ipswich Town in March 1976 - The Professional Contract Period Is Unknown.
He joined Leicester City from Ipswich Town in July 1985 - For A Fee Of £240,000 + The Contract, Period Is Unknown.
