Terry Butcher has been getting a bit of flak in Sydney of late. If you Google "butcher sydney football" you will find a host of bad news stories. Current champions Sydney FC are in 3rd place in the table but after 12 games they`re 14 points behind the leaders (http://tinyurl.com/yd247l). It doesn`t look as though Butcher will help them to retain their title this season.

  • The former Town, England and Glasgow Rangers captain became manager of A-League side Sydney FC last week, signing a two-year deal. Ironically Butcher, favoured by some to take over as boss at Town, made his full international debut for England at the SCG (Sydney Cricket Ground) in 1980.

  • I heard today (12/4/06) on Radio Five Live that Terry Butcher`s son passed out of Sandhurst today at the same time as Prince Harry.
