  • Believe he was and maybe still is the landlord of the Belstead Arms in ipswich

  • I believe this is Trevor Watkins, a local ipswich lad whose father was Johnny Watkins a well known local politcian who also helped re form Whitton Utd. In July 68, Trevor was one of 4 Town youth players that Harwich and Parkstone were allowed to approach in view of signing for the Essex club. Along with the other 3 players, Trevor found himself playing for Harwich during the 68/69 season [correction noted - thank you]
