Match Report

Swansea 4 Ipswich 1

FABIO BORINI helped Swansea book their place in the play-offs and end two years of heartache.

The Welsh side just missed out under former bosses Roberto Martinez and Paulo Sousa.

But Brendan Rodgers has led them to the shoot-out for the Premier League with two games to spare.

He said: "To make the play-offs is a wonderful achievement.

"But nobody is singing and dancing because we're in the play-offs. We want more than that.

"There was a lot of trauma here last season because the club lost out on the last day."

Sorry Ipswich were behind in the ninth-minute when Borini hammered past Arran Lee-Barrett.

Luke Moore's effort then took a deflection before Colin Healy pulled a goal back in the 20th minute.

But Borini, 20, restored Swans' two-goal advantage with his sixth goal in seven games.

Scott Sinclair killed off the Tractor Boys with his 71st-minute spot-kick after Mark Kennedy had fouled Leon Britton.

Town boss Paul Jewell said: "I'm glad we've got enough points not to worry about the last two games, otherwise we'd be in a sticky position."
