Match Report

Tale Of The Two Darren'sBy Rich Godden

Goals from Darren Ambrose and Darren Bent helped Ipswich come from behind to beat Bristol Rovers.

A strong Town lineup, including Matt Holland and Marcus Stewart, looked bright in the first half and despite having a number of chances just couldn't score.

But thing's turned sour after half time when Adam Barrett headed Rovers into the lead from a Vitalijs Astasjevs cross.

The lead would only last 10 minutes as substitute Ambrose grabbed the equaliser with a wonderful strike.

And, just when it looked like honours would be even, Ambrose played in Darren Bent, who slotted home from 12 yards to give his side a last gasp win.

It wasn't always pretty, but it will do our confidence the world of good.
