Match Report

Goal-less at Deepdale Opposition Report From The Terrace

Preston frustrated Ipswich on Sunday to earn a share of the spoils at Deepdale.

Although the draw was the right result as far as possession is concerned, it was the visitors who created the more chances.

Matt Holland struck the crossbar shortly after the start of the second half, whilst Tepi Molianen tipped a Marcus Bent effort over the bar in the first half. Most of TownÂ’s second half attacks stemmed from 18-year-old midfielder Darren Ambrose, who went close to breaking the deadlock on a couple of occasions.

The best chance that came to Preston fell to Richard Creswell, but the former Sheffield Wednesday and York City striker could only direct his close-range header wide of the post.
