Love-Lee stuff for hot-shot Al
Two-GOAL Alan Lee celebrated his new deal to stay at Ipswich as they sank Wednesday almost without trace.
Lee, last season's 17-goal leading scorer and the subject of a £700,000 summer bid from Hull, also laid one on for Gary Roberts.
Spanish striker Pablo Counago, back after a two-year stint with Malaga, was also on target as Ipswich won easily.
The Tractor Boys went ahead from the spot when Wednesday skipper Lee Bullen tugged back Counago with just 36 seconds on the clock.
Lee coolly struck from the spot and then set up his side's second goal in the 11th minute, Roberts firing a stunning 12-yard volley past the helpless Lee Grant.
If Grant was blameless on that occasion, he was guilty of a howler in the 25th minute to gift Ipswich a third goal.
It looked a tad ambitious on Lee's part to try his luck from the edge of the box but his low shot somehow eluded Grant's dive, the ball bouncing over the prone keeper.
Ipswich stretched their lead on the hour mark when Jonathan Walters' low centre from the right found Counago unmarked to sidefoot home from eight yards.
Wednesday pulled one back in the 89th minute when substitute Leon Clarke bundled the ball over the line after Alex Bruce kept out Marcus Tudgay's header.
