Match Report

Foxes held by Ipswich

Leicester will walk away from the Walkers Stadium disappointed to have only taken a point against Ipswich.

The Foxes dominated for large periods against Joe Royle's men, but just could not break down the visitors' resistance.

Ipswich had the first chance of the game, but Richard Naylor failed to convert Kevin Horlock's centre.

The miss spurred Craig Levein's men into action, and Lewis Price was forced into good stops from David Connolly and Mark de Vries.

Price then had to be substituted after picking up an injury, but his replacement Shane Supple proved to be equally unbeatable in the Ipswich goal.

The second half saw more of the same and Connolly really should have got his team off to a flyer, but the striker failed to find the net from Momo Sylla's cross.

Alan Maybury then tried his luck but Supple was once again equal to the task.

The closing minutes saw a flurry of chances as Ian Westlake, Danny Tiatto and Connolly all went close, but the deadlock refused to be broken as the game ended goalless.
