Papadopoulos heads last-gasp equaliser
Supersub Dimi Papadopoulos headed home a last-gasp equaliser at Portman Road to deny Ipswich caretaker boss Tony Mowbray victory as in-form Burnley made it 12 matches without defeat.
The Greek Under-21 international rose high in the six yard box only minutes after entering the fray in place of Ian Moore to head home Dean West's pinpoint cross in the 90th minute.
It was cruel on Mowbray's men, who hit back from last Saturday's deflating 3-1 defeat at Reading to shade a frantic first half of end-to-end action.
But Stan Ternent's Clarets are in fine fettle and hit back after a first-half buffeting to clinch a deserved point and maintain their unbeaten run after losing their first four matches this season.
Three goals came in the opening 16 minutes and it was struggling Ipswich who were quickest on the draw.
Burnley midfielder Arthur Gnohere was penalised for his challenge on skipper Matt Holland after just 48 seconds and John McGreal headed home the free-kick from Mark Venus.
Burnley keeper Marlon Beresford was then tested by Jamie Clapham from 25 yards and in a helter-skelter opening as the visitors went close through Moore, with Andy Marshall punching his close-range effort away for a corner.
Frenchman Gnohere was quick to make amends for his early indiscipline, powering Burnley level with his head from Glen Little's corner only five minutes later.
Alun Armstrong stung Beresford's hands with a rasping 20-yarder and Burnley's Robbie Blake saw his long-range drive fly narrowly wide.
Then in the 16th minute Ipswich regained the lead. Chris Makin made use of space down the left and his cross was drilled home left-footed into the bottom corner by midfielder Darren Ambrose.
Armstrong saw his close-range header blocked by Burnley's Graham Branch and Jermaine Wright sent a right-footer flashing passed Beresford's post.
But Burnley looked menacing on the break with Moore having his goal-bound shot blocked and Gnohere powering another header from Little's out-swinging corner over the bar.
In the second half it was all Burnley, who peppered the Ipswich box with crosses from both flanks and all angles.
West played in Steve Davis on the left side of the penalty area but the latter's shot drifted wide and after 73 minutes Ipswich keeper Marshall did well to hold onto another long-range effort from the same player.
Davis was everywhere in the second half for Burnley. He headed another West cross over the bar in the 77th minute as the visitors bombarded Ipswich.
Town's increasingly anxious fans had to wait until the 81st minute for their first clear-cut chance of the second half.
Darren Bent - on for Armstrong in a tactical switch - supplied the cross and Pablo Counago flashed a shot just wide from close in.
But Burnley snatched that elusive equaliser in the dying minutes.
