ROY KEANE FEELS THE TEN-SION
ROY KEANE admitted he could be the next boss to get the chop after his Ipswich side slumped to yet another defeat.
The Portman Road faithful let Keane know exactly what they thought of a 10th league loss in the last 14 games.
The players were booed off and a section called for Keane to go as Ipswich slumped to 19th in the Championship table, just three points off the drop zone.
Keane said: Im doing my best and, if the best at the moment is not good enough, then Ill pay the consequences.
Its the nature of the game. Managers who win football matches lose their jobs so do managers who dont do as well.
George Burley, Darren Ferguson, Lawsy, Big Sam, blah, blah, blah. What will be, will be.
Defender Damien Delaney, with a huge bandage on a head wound, put through his own goal in first-half stoppage time to ruin Keanes day.
Town keeper Marton Fulop could only palm a David McGoldrick cross on to Delaneys legs and the centre-back watched in horror as the ball bounced over the line.
Ipswich did have chances with a Troy Brown header and Grant Leadbitters long-ranger.
In stoppage time Leadbitter was shown a straight red for a studs-up challenge that hurt Paul Anderson. He misses the big Cup clash with Chelsea and the Carling Cup opener against Arsenal.
Forest are up to seventh but boss Billy Davies, who refused to comment on a possible return to Preston, said: The depth of this squad is not good enough.
We have stopped progressing.
