QPR 1 - 2 Ipswich
Two first-half Ipswich goals condemned QPR to another home defeat with Rangers now two points above the drop zone.
Gareth McAuley went close with an early header before Ipswich went ahead, David Norris' 15-yard shot deflecting in.
Pablo Counago stabbed a great chance wide but they doubled the lead when Daryl Murphy coolly slotted home.
QPR improved after the break and Jay Simpson lashed home to pull one goal back, but Norris fired wide as Ipswich held on comfortably for the victory.
The QPR fans had booed owner Flavio Briatore as he left his seat in the directors' box at half-time, the Italian failing to re-emerge for the second half.
QPR manager Mick Harford:
"For a professional club, that first-half performance was not acceptable.
"It was totally inept, lacking everything. It lacked effort and commitment - the second half was better but that doesn't bother me right now.
"The players now know they are in a relegation fight - at half-time I told them the fans were right to boo."
Ipswich manager Roy Keane:
"We should have done better in terms of killing the game off but I have to be pleased.
"We were at it in the first half. We had other chances and at 2-0 we were actually a bit disappointed.
"We knew QPR would come out in the second half and they caused us problems, but we got the win. It was an important night for us."
