Daryl Murphy pair cheers up grumpy boss Roy Keane
Ipswich boss Roy Keane says he is still Mr Grumpy, even after transforming the fortunes of Sunderland's Daryl Murphy.
The on-loan striker scored twice to rack up five goals in eight games for Keane after going more than two years without any at Sunderland.
Keane enthused: 'We've given him a new lease of life. His second goal in particular was a poacher's goal and we just haven't scored enough of those.
'I'm still grumpy. We know what the players are capable of and they haven't done it enough this season.'
In fact, Murphy could have had four, starting in the eighth minute when his effort was heading for the top right corner until brilliant keeper David Marshall leapt to turn the ball around the post.
In the 18th minute Murphy seized on a pass from fellow Sunderland loanee Jack Colback and rolled the ball into a gap on the right.
Despite a couple of chances for Michael Chopra, it was all over on 58 minutes when Owen Garvan shot from outside the box, Marshall went down to his right to save but could do nothing about Murphy pounding in the rebound from the left.
