    One of the best NAC Breda players of the 90`s and a very nice person as well. A true leader on and of the pitch. I saw Romeo on a couple of times playing for Ipswich and he was very well appreciated by the Ipswich fans and rightly so.

  • Romeo Zondervan played a key role in Town's 1991/92 Second Division Championship season. He was signed from West Brom in March, 1984 for £70,000 and became club captain during John Duncan's managerial reign. He made a total of 274 league appearances for Ipswich, netting on 13 occasions. He had originally joined the West Midlands club from Dutch side FC Twente and returned to Holland with NAC Breda in May 1992.

    Surinamese born Zondervan was capped on 6 occasion's by Holland and is currently part of George Burley's European Scouting team (as of 25th April, 2001).
